1. Nature of Detailing Services
Automotive detailing is a cosmetic cleaning, care, and appearance-enhancement service. It is not mechanical repair, body repair, repainting, upholstery replacement, mold remediation, or a guarantee that a vehicle will be restored to factory-new or showroom condition.
Results vary based on the vehicle's age, materials, condition, maintenance history, prior repairs, previous treatments, and the severity or duration of stains, odors, contamination, and cosmetic defects.
2. Estimates and Vehicle Condition
Prices and time estimates are based on the information provided when booking and assume the vehicle is in the condition reasonably expected for the selected service.
Excessive pet hair, sand, soil, stains, odors, mold, bodily fluids, hazardous materials, oversized vehicles, or other conditions requiring substantially more time or specialized treatment may result in a revised estimate. Wheel & Wax will explain any material price adjustment and obtain the Client's approval before performing additional chargeable work.
Wheel & Wax may decline or stop work when a condition is unsafe, presents a health risk, requires a licensed specialist, or cannot be treated safely with detailing methods.
3. Pre-Existing Damage and Conditions
Wheel & Wax is not responsible for damage, defects, wear, deterioration, or malfunctions that existed before service or resulted from aging, manufacturer defects, improper repairs, environmental exposure, or circumstances outside the Company's reasonable control.
Pre-existing conditions may include scratches, dents, rock chips, oxidation, fading, clear-coat failure, cracked or loose trim, worn upholstery, stained materials, damaged controls, weak batteries, loose components, water leaks, failing adhesives, aftermarket equipment, prior paintwork, and other fragile or compromised materials.
Some defects may become more visible after dirt, residue, oxidation, or temporary cosmetic products are removed.
4. Reasonable Care and Safe Service
Wheel & Wax will perform agreed services with reasonable care using appropriate products, equipment, and commonly accepted detailing methods.
If continuing a service could reasonably damage a fragile or compromised surface, Wheel & Wax may modify, limit, or stop that portion of the service. The Client will be informed when practical.
If Wheel & Wax becomes aware of accidental damage caused during service, the Company will promptly notify the Client and provide an opportunity to inspect the area.
5. No Guarantee of Complete Removal
Wheel & Wax does not guarantee the complete removal of every stain, odor, scratch, swirl mark, water spot, contaminant, pet hair, sand particle, or cosmetic defect.
Certain conditions may be permanent or may require multiple treatments, material replacement, body repair, mechanical repair, or another specialist. The Company's obligation is to provide the agreed service with reasonable professional effort, not to guarantee a particular level of restoration.
6. Interior, Odor, and Hazardous Conditions
The Client must disclose known mold, bodily fluids, pest activity, pet accidents, smoke exposure, water leaks, chemical spills, or other potentially hazardous conditions before service.
Odor treatment is intended to reduce or neutralize odors where reasonably possible. Permanent removal cannot be guaranteed when the source remains inside seat foam, carpet backing, insulation, headliners, ventilation systems, or other inaccessible materials. Active leaks, continued smoking, recurring contamination, or mechanical problems may cause odors to return.
Any ozone or other specialized odor treatment requires the Client's separate approval and may include additional safety instructions.
7. Paint Correction and Protective Coatings
When paint correction is selected, the Client understands that the process improves cosmetic defects by carefully leveling a limited amount of clear coat. Deep scratches, chips, failing paint, thin clear coat, and previously repaired panels may not be safe to correct fully.
Ceramic coatings and other protective products improve appearance and make routine maintenance easier, but they do not make a vehicle scratch-proof, chip-proof, stain-proof, or maintenance-free. Product durability depends on preparation, vehicle use, environmental exposure, proper washing, and compliance with any care instructions provided after service.
Any specific coating warranty, cure period, or maintenance requirement is provided separately for the selected product.
8. Mobile-Service Requirements
The Client is responsible for providing legal and reasonably safe access to the vehicle at the scheduled location. The working area must provide sufficient space for the service without creating an unreasonable danger to the Client, technician, vehicle, surrounding property, or the public.
The Client must provide access to the vehicle and keys when reasonably necessary. The Client authorizes Wheel & Wax to move or operate the vehicle a short distance when reasonably required to perform or inspect the service.
Appointments may be delayed, shortened, relocated, or rescheduled because of unsafe conditions, severe weather, equipment problems, restricted access, or circumstances outside Wheel & Wax's reasonable control.
9. Personal Property and Child Seats
The Client is responsible for removing valuables, cash, firearms, medications, electronics, important documents, and other personal property before service. Wheel & Wax is not responsible for items left unsecured or hidden inside the vehicle unless loss or damage is directly caused by the Company's failure to use reasonable care.
Child seats and booster seats should be removed before the appointment. Wheel & Wax does not reinstall or secure child-restraint systems because proper installation remains the responsibility of the Client or the seat manufacturer's instructions.
Excessive personal belongings may prevent certain areas from being cleaned.
10. Inspection and Condition Documentation
Wheel & Wax may inspect and photograph the vehicle before, during, and after service to document its condition, perform a Paint Health Report, record completed work, or address a customer concern.
These documentation photos are for service and recordkeeping purposes. They do not give Wheel & Wax permission to use the Client's vehicle or identifying information for advertising. Marketing use requires separate permission from the Client.
The Client is encouraged to participate in the pre-service and completion walk-around when available.
11. Service Concerns and Opportunity to Correct
The Client should inspect the vehicle when the service is completed whenever possible.
Any concern regarding workmanship should be reported to Wheel & Wax in writing, with supporting photographs when available, within 24 hours of service completion. Conditions that could reasonably have occurred after service may be difficult to verify.
Wheel & Wax must be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect and, when appropriate, correct a verified workmanship concern before the Client arranges third-party work or requests a refund. Refunds are not automatic and will be evaluated based on the service performed, the vehicle's documented condition, and whether Wheel & Wax was given an opportunity to address the concern.
This process does not limit any rights the Client may have under applicable law.
12. Payment and Service Completion
Payment is due upon completion unless another arrangement is agreed to in writing before service begins.
The Client is responsible for reviewing and approving any material change in the agreed service or price. Wheel & Wax will not perform additional chargeable work without the Client's authorization.
Any future deposit, cancellation, no-show, membership, or recurring-payment policy is disclosed separately at booking and accepted before a charge is made.
13. Limitation of Responsibility
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Wheel & Wax is not responsible for loss or damage caused by undisclosed pre-existing conditions, defective or deteriorated materials, prior repairs, manufacturer defects, aftermarket modifications, weather, environmental exposure, or events outside the Company's reasonable control.
Nothing in this agreement is intended to excuse Wheel & Wax from responsibility for damage directly caused by its failure to exercise reasonable care or to waive rights that cannot legally be waived.
14. Acceptance
By scheduling or authorizing service, approving an estimate, making payment, signing an invoice, or allowing work to begin, the Client confirms that they have reviewed and accepted these terms.
Separate approval may be required for specialized odor treatment, paint correction, ceramic coatings, memberships, marketing photographs, or specialty-vehicle services.
